What Disney princesses teach women about attracting Men - Look for your one true love because you need him to save you and you will never be fulfilled or complete without him.
Someone gave us their secondhand Disney princess books - can't say I am enjoying them at all. :(

I think that image is actually stretching things a little bit to make it fit the theme.

Jasmine actually had no interest in "Prince Ali", she was much more interested in Aladdin, the street urchin. She was only attracted to Prince Ali when he finally let his guard down and acted like Aladdin. When he tried to "turn on" the charm he got nowhere with Jasmine. She didn't care about fame or riches at all, and actually found those qualities in Prince Ali to be a turn-off.

In the case of Belle and the Beast, the Beast wasn't famous, he was infamous at best. Belle saw someone in need of help and eventually brought out the softer side of the Beast. If she was simply interested in looks, fame, and money, she would have ended up with Gaston.

Sometimes Disney gets attacked a little too much in my opinion; and really, find me a flick that doesn't feature good looking lead characters (in pretty much any genre); the odd one exists, but they're pretty hard to come by. It's a symptom of far more than just Disney films, it's the movie and film industry as a whole.

Yeah, but you can't look past the dark magic in almost every Disney movie. That's a deal breaker for me :)
