I think that there is very messed up side to how this is becoming normal communication. i love facebook in a sense where i get to talk to people i dont normally see, especially if they are in need of someone to talk to this is a great means for keeping up with people. but it leaches the health out of day to day relationships. but if I can use it in my ministry to others i will.

i wonder where blogs come into this diagram...

(cough, cough) um, I don't see blogging in the diagram so that means it isn't a problem!

I'm not on facebook for exactly the reason you state ("It leaches the health out of my day to day relationships"). I feel like I have enough things like that already. . .

I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. I love it because it lets me keep in touch with friends and relatives far away. I hate it because it is a waste of time otherwise, and it's very similar to listening in on others' conversations (even if they don't mind).
I'm still not sure about Twitter.... not even sure why I'm on it.. except that I've come across some great websites and articles through using it.
I think blogs fit in there somewhere, too. Definitely can be a time-waster, but it's also very educational.
