When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.

i can see where these are slightly skewed towards a taoism worldview.
sorry to be a stickler but i would not live by these quotes.

Hey Chad, thanks for your comment. It is true, Lao Tzu was indeed the founder of Taoism. The question is, does that mean we still can't learn from him? Was everything he said unhelpful or blasphemous? For instance one of his quotes is:
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
The question I always ask myself is: does what this person says agree with Scripture? Or, more importantly does it disagree? For myself, I think Tzu had some very wise things to say and I am comfortable exploring his sayings. Of course, that is just my opinion. Is there anything in particular that seems wrong to you? Take care!
after learning a bit about worldview and taoism, I can see the root of where these quotes come from.
im not saying that its wrong to try to find wisdom from the words he said , I am saying that i would be careful to line them up with the bible before they become truth. the devil likes to twist the truth ever so slightly, and then sooner or later you dont realize how far you have gone.
I know, and you know that we dont have to go to taoism to find dicipline, peace, and power. so i say be careful, and im sure you are.
God bless
