Hey Dayna, I too felt bad for them both. It just goes to show how little some people understand what's happening in their relationship! Or how little they understand what their partner wants! I think that men especially can be clueless as to what their women are thinking and how receptive they would be to something "romantic" like a public proposal. Too bad. That guy is going to need therapy for sure! Ouch.
Sarah wouldn't let me do anything big like that. I knew what the answer was going to be when I proposed (we'd talked about marriage well before that) otherwise I wouldn't even dream of doing something big like that.
Anyone else notice how someone gave the guy a free beer on his way off the court? I admit I also had the thought "I hope the girl can get a refund on her ticket, the game is ruined for her"
Jobina warned me before we got engaged that she didn't want a "big show" either. Luckily I didn't go through with my big "Princess Bride" kidnapping extravaganza until AFTER we were engaged!

i liked the commentator's last line: "it's where amazing happens. right here." what more can be said?
