What do you think of this video?

The theology doesn't sit right with me.

Hey Jacquie, how so?

seeing the look of pure pain on the father's face made that story hit home more for me. Thanks!

I think about how haphazard it all seems. When God had known it was to occur all along. It seemed so out of control, and yet God was never out of control. Yes, I see the anguish it caused the Father, it is quite evident in this portrayal. The role of the Son "accidently" falling, yes, I also realize analogies can only go so far. Christ knew himself the role He was going to play, and He had a choice in it all along.

...does that make sense? No greater love is there, than laying down your life for your brother...that is not the message of this film. Instead, it just seems kind of cruel...

...anyways, like I said, all analogies fall short somewhere!

Wow I can't even see that as an analogy. It did nothing for me except make me cringe.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one.

no matter what choice he would have made...someone would have died. so instead of sacrificing countless lives just to save one he made the decision to sacrifice one life to save countless others. god had to make the same choice when jesus was alive. instead of destroying the lives of billions of sinners just to save one he sacrificed one life (jesus) to save the lives of those billions of sinners so that they would find out the truth about satan and turn to god for help. which is what i did at abundant springs this year. i found out the truth about satan which is that he is a bad guy to follow. and i asked god for help in turning my life around. if it weren't for jesus dying on the cross i would probably still be a sinner today.
