When I watched this I was both amazed at the ants and also at the cruelty that the research team applied. while I prefer the cabinets Dan makes to having one of these in my home, I have to admit, it is impressive.
It does seem cruel to kill the ants like this, however it's interesting that people get so up in arms about ants but routinely defend our "right" to kill unborn human children and call it "choice"
Also, I caught myself feeling indignant at these scientists for destroying the ants home, and then realized that I better not cast too many stones - I've been known to kill ant hills in my own yard, and to slap those pesky mosquitoes too...
